DATA METHODOLOGY

Method, not magic.

8billion should stop when evidence is missing rather than turn a city name or a salary into a fabricated answer.

Current data coverage

  • 7 illustrative economic profiles support direct illustrative comparisons.
  • The destination catalogue contains 120 places; it is not a 120-city verified economic dataset.
  • Other destinations can use only user-entered private assumptions and return a private scenario range.
  • The number of production source-backed economic profiles today is 0.
02

Result labels

An illustrative model result is labelled estimated/demo. A route built from the user’s own assumptions is labelled estimated/private scenario. A future source-backed estimate must disclose source, period, geography and confidence before it can be released.

03

Fail-closed rules

If a required city profile, distribution, exchange-rate basis, tax assumption or cost measure is missing or invalid, the model does not silently substitute another city and does not invent Local Position, Status Twin or Offer X-Ray.

04

What results are not

  • Financial, tax, legal or investment advice
  • A guaranteed salary or cost-of-living outcome
  • Income, employer or professional verification
  • A reason to accept or reject an offer without additional evidence
